2025 Hyundai Venue SEL: The Ultimate Suburban Commuter

Efficient Performance for the Daily Drive

Under the hood of the 2025 Hyundai Venue SEL, you will find a Smartstream 1.6L I-4 DOHC engine. This powerplant is engineered for efficiency and smooth delivery, utilizing CVVT variable valve control to optimize performance across various driving conditions. Delivering 121HP, the engine provides the right amount of pep for navigating the surface streets of Tuttle, OK or merging onto the highway for a trip toward the city. The Front Wheel Drive configuration ensures predictable handling and contributes to the impressive fuel economy, rated at an estimated 29 city MPG and 32 highway MPG.

The driving experience is further refined by the Smartstream IVT CVT, a continuously variable transmission that mimics the shift points of a traditional automatic while maintaining the efficiency benefits of a gearless system. Drivers can tailor their experience using the Drive Mode Select system, which allows for adjustments to the vehicle's powertrain response based on your current needs. The mechanical foundation of the Venue is solid, featuring an Aluminum engine block and a Transverse mounted engine layout. The suspension setup, consisting of an Independent front suspension with Strut front suspension and a Torsion beam rear suspension, is tuned to provide a comfortable ride over the gently rolling plains of central Oklahoma. With Speed sensitive power steering, the Venue feels light and easy to park at low speeds while remaining stable and confident when you are cruising at higher speeds on the interstate.

Never owned a Hyundai until now!

by Caliboi on 12/22/2025 10:44:28 AM

This thang for someone who is 6’2 and 240lb guy it is spacious! The gas mileage is what it says it is! As of right now at the end of 2025 putting $25 in the gas tank at almost E to fill up is great! Very spacious and comfortable for both everyday commute and being in traffic! I do ride share full time and I have to say this has been a good ride! Now I will say it's not the quickest thing and if you do have more than 2 big adults on the back it does get cramped quickly and the trunk is small but if you take the bottom panel out the back where the spare is you can fit 2 huge suitcases back there! The one thing I do hate about the vehicle that the vehicle can't do anything about is they do not make this vehicle in all wheel drive it's only in front wheel drive if they made this vehicle all wheel drive it would blow a lot of the SUVs in the same class out of the water and make it so much More efficient for people who live in the Midwest that deal with heavy snow areas to completely have a vehicle that would get them through everything! This is definitely not a off the road vehicle but for what you would normally need on an everyday basis whether you're going to college whether you're getting groceries it has more than enough of the capabilities to do what you need to do in a good way! The blind spots are very minimal as well as the safety features on this vehicle is really good mind you the infotainment system is a little bit small and you have to turn up the speakers a little bit louder than you would normally with other vehicles, but the sound sounds great. The connectivity is awesome. You have a lot of USB-C chargers and chargers in general to charge up anything that you need on the go! The wireless charging isn't the best but it does get the job done. Your phone will get quite warm but other than that it does what it's supposed to do for a family looking for an affordable vehicle and don't need much space definitely look into this vehicle. It will be a game changer as well as save you some good money the warranty on here I haven't had to need it for it still new. I had it from 0 miles and I'm up to 711 miles in just a few days is comfortable. Have heated seats. If you let down the backseat you definitely get way more cargo space like a wagon And with 17 inch rims that looks phenomenal. Definitely get the two-tone if you don't care for a sunroof because you can't get both, you can't get the two tone and the sunroof you have to choose either or I wish it had fog lights that was probably another con that I wanted, but overall, I am extremely happy about this purchase definitely read the manual on gas because they can't take every kind of gas. It does take regular, but not every gas for this specific vehicle is accepted so please read your manual for my first Hyundai. I really feel like I made a great choice And with the safety features and the amenities that come with this vehicle at this price point without feeling like you're stuck in some garbage, can that has an engine this vehicle blows your expectations once you sit in it I have the option between the ELANTRA and this and when I test drove this, it was fun if not the most manly car however I love driving it and you set up a lot higher than expected. Also, wanna talk about snow mode as of right now I've tested it on a icy, rocky pathway and when you put it on snow mode like I said earlier is not an all-wheel-drive vehicle, but it definitely made a difference on driving on icy snowy condition roads versus just doing it in normal mode and if you put it in sports mobile, don't expect to get a Lamborghini type speed or a Tesla speed or even jeep speed it does what it was designed to do extremely well and so do your research and get this vehicle

Compact SUV, not bad, not top of the class.

by Mike on 11/4/2025 7:18:52 PM

After two years driving the 2023 Limited Edition and putting on 22,000 miles, my experience has been mostly positive. No issues with the engine or electrical system so far. The only problem was a faulty power window switch, which was replaced under warranty. The transmission performs well so far, though on cold mornings, it's best to let the engine warm up and accelerate gradually to avoid that loud, truck-like engine noise. Fuel economy isn’t class-leading, but it’s decent for a compact SUV. The exterior and interior are beautifully designed, with plenty of thoughtful details. However, one downside is the interior plastic, it scratches easily and gives off a cheap feel. Another drawback is the lack of a rear USB charging port. The camera quality is also underwhelming; the Elantra offers a noticeably better one. Overall, the safety features, heated seats, and fuel efficiency are in line with what you'd expect from a compact SUV. If I were in the market for a small car again, I’d definitely consider buying this one. But if you're looking for something with more power, torque, or space, you'd need to move up to a higher segment and be prepared to pay more.

2022 Venue excellent value and reliability

by Becca on 11/2/2025 7:28:57 PM

I bought my 2022 Venue Limited brand new and it has been wonderful. The first three years service were paid so I literally only paid for gas. The ride is smooth, gas mileage is excellent and it’s very easy to maneuver. Also the Limited comes with front collision protection (which works when a car pulled out right in front of me, my car stopped before I got my foot to the brake!) lane assist- which can be turned off, so many things for a lower priced SUV. I’m giving it a 10 out of 10. The interior looks like brand new and it’s 3 years old!
